Yup, I'm back. And I have even started work. Ah.. I'll tok abt that some other time. Lets first tok about my trip.
Hongkong... I did just 2 things, shop and eat. But hey! though its only those, I had enuff fun already. Terriffic time! Cos I bought 4 bags, 2 heels, a pair of bertula, a wallet, 6 tops and 2 jackets. All of these in just 5 days. Quite an achievement ain't it. We practically shopped the whole of Hongkong and of cos we practically ate all over Hongkong. We had dim sum (Imgaine: 2 gals, 9 different kinds of dim sum), loads of desserts, handbeat beef patties noodle, roast chicken, duck meat rice... I'm drooling by jus thinking about it. And Kristen's appetite can really scare the hell out of me. SHE, can really eat. God! And of cos shop too! To think she just came back from the states. arh....! We are really like what she said. "Partners in crime" We hit Mongkok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Causewaybay, and even the peak.
I had afternoon snack and beer at Stanley Market, we took the mini public bus there. Stanely Market is kinda like our Holland V, many caucasians, lots of bars for u to relax. Its kinda cool. We took the tram up to the peak. The sight was ok.. But its a different side of Hongkong, the air is so much better than way back below. The air pollution is horrible, I'm sure people there don't live long. We had dinner in one of the restaurants up in the peak, its nice. I can jus stone there for a long time. We stoned in Peninsula Hotel at Kowloon too, had desserts and we jus stone at the cafe facing the Victoria Harbour. There was a 'live' performance by a solo singer there. Feels rather comfy jus slouching on the couch. Walked a little in Zhong Wan while on our way to the peak, its kinda like our Shenton Way, with tall buildings all in their unique style. Especially the China Bank building, rather impressive.
Hongkong has got many old looking buildings, actually, they look as though they're gonna collaspe anytime. Can't believe the living conditions of the people there. And theres humans everywhere. We find it even difficult to walk sometimes, cos its so damn bloody crowded. Its amazing actually that we could walk quite a distance from one destination to another. If u're into walking, then Hongkong is the place for you. Cos everything seemed so far, even from one train to the other. But oh well... I always find it fun to indulge into another kinda culture once in a while.
As long theres shopping and food along the way, walking ain't no prob at all.
