Hello People...

Hello People...
Its been long.... Well, its mostly bcos I have started work and I sleep rather early these days cos I have to get up early for work. Not like super early but early enuff to stop me from hogging online thru the late nights. Not really use to working life just yet, probably bcos I played too much these 2 years. Its been omost 2 weeks since i started work, learnt quite alot and am rather BZ and will be rather BZ till June ends. Working as the Programmes Executive for one of the Country Clubs here. Same Company as Mich, which is quite a blessing cos we are practically the 2 youngest blood in this office. Its always nice to have ur close fren working wif u, I mean theres at least someone whom u can trust and bitch to everyday. LOL. Yes, we bitch everyday, not like anyhow lah. But whenever necessary, which is quite often, not in the office of cos. :p We are in different rooms anyway...

I serve the so called "Impt People" of the country, making sure they are having a good time in the club, making their miserable investments worthy. To put it simply, I have to come up with events and activities to keep these humans and their families entertained lah. And oso mus make sure its cheap and good, cos if not, will kana complain non-stop. Me dun like dealing with some members who are lao ah bei, who tinks they are superior cos of their past positions (retired) and oso bcos I heard from many that they are chi ko bei. They luv giving ridiculous complaints. Example: "Why the pub got a foosball table?! So low class.. Like coffeeshop like that!". Hmmm.... I dunno which exclusive kopitiam this ah bei went to got foosball table leh.... If thats consider low class, I really dunno wat high class is. Maybe.. If we put some beer ladies with pole dancing then its high class lo... Cos they will make ah bei very high. I'm glad I dun have to entertain them like my colleague has to. Whatever it is we are a non-profitble organization, which means we are charity organization(my personal view lah).

Anyway, an overview of my colleagues, the politics and the bosses. The most interesting person so far, is my partner, C. I'm in charge of social events, while she, the sports side. Shes a super direct, super loud person. If u can't tahan me, then dun even tink abt getting close to her. Cos C is 100 times worse. But, I do like C though. Shes taught me alot, is quite patient wif me(though not to many others in the office. I got lucky *winks*), and her directness always bring loads of laughter. I really prefer a direct personality rather than a backstabber. Alot of pp can't tahan her though, I have been asked by some oready, "You can work with C ah?". I'm like "yah..". duh... say "no" and let u all gossip mehz... But yah lah, im orite wif her. Jus as long as i dun step onto her tail then i wun kana blasting, lemme gif you a few examples of her funny ethics and her chor lor-ness.

1) C: "who?! Who told you that?! They can take off like that, we can't ah! Not in our position, think we so easy like them ah?! Ask them come change position wif me lah! Tell them dun TCLSS ah!"

Me: "Huh?! Whats TCLSS??"

C: "Talk Cock Like Sing Song lah!"

2) C(Jokingly over the fone but still loud): "Ask everyone to gather tomorrow afternoon and see me! wah.... I very dua liap hor! hahaha.... Dua liap like Ye Zhi mei's bao. Hahahaha..."

3) C (sings): "Theres something strange... In the neighbourhood... Who do you call?!" She stops here and waits.

Radio: "Ghostbusters!"

Then C continues singing...
Theres many more others, like those popular chinese songs in the 80s - 90s and theres Hokkien ones too. Soemtimes I do sing along. Quite fun. Alamak.. I hope I dun end up like her.

Move on to other people, who are mostly aunties and uncles. Mich has a super weird assistant with absolutely no sense of humour. Telling him jokes is like you are speaking to a Hippo, he totally doesn't understand it and takes it darn seriously. He's practically slow in everything he does, toking, response, playing badminton or tennis, etc. Sometimes he says weird things and he's so slow in response that you feel like punching him. Sometimes, I dun even wanna wait for his reaction. I jus move on, I tink Mich wanna punch him like a thousand times liaoz. Especially after the day he chokes onto a mouthful of rice and splattered everything on mich who is directly opposite. Theres other aunties in the office, there are those who are rather quiet and nice, there are those who are gossipy always gossiping non-stop. They dun have to say, but u can jus see it in their eyes. Got a pregnant front desk who has a squeaky voice but very auntie in behaviour who always is gossiping with her good fren Auntie LS (not Loser). Theres a super ego male colleague who die die mus win in badminton even though he drew with us in the last match. He kips blaming his partner (the slow one), and say Mich and I were lucky. You can imagine both of us rolling our eyes non-stop. But still, not a bad guy. There was a day when he suddenly blew his top at C and that kept her quiet and left her rather shocked. I was a little taken aback too. Cos he seemed a soft-spoken man. Now I fully understand the meaning of "Barking dog never bites". Then theres a manager who has like a thousand jobs beside the one now who is always going merry go round to either test you, wanna get gossipy info from you, insult you or gossip to you. But, despite all that, shes orite. Jus learn how to do tai chi along wif her and u r safe. She always fight for rights though, which I tink is good. Theres oready like 2 groups who are buay song wif each other among these people liaoz. Theres a nice Manager who always gifs me advice on life and my direct superior is a nice man too. He gifs me the freedom to do my thing and is open to ideas. Theres another manager who oready has a 5 year old child but still look damn good. Its like a fashion parade everday, but she doesn't seem very enthu wif her job, HAha.. I see her looking at the 'recruit' section of the newspapers. Last but not least is the GM, haven't really had any encounter anything wif him yet. But he's quite famous for his meow-ness, aka 'stinginess'. And he has a quick brain which watever u suggest to him has gotta do wif money, he will make you feel that ur suggestions are redundant. "I'm open wif ideas." Thats wat he always say, but doesn't necessary mean he will absorb them... Its not easy for him though I feel, cos he has to report to a bunch of humans who are actually aliens to business management but luvs to TCLSS. Oooh... rather useful abbreviation..

Thats the end of the story of my office, overall, i'm still ok with it cos I haven gotten anything bad yet. I'm still a green horn, so theres lots to learn and loads to take as well. Wah... Very long leh.. Cham... Am I an auntie oready? Doubt so.. Cos I ain't into no "ghostbusters!". I'm jus a woman. I have my special rights dun I?

Yup, I'm back. And I have even started work. Ah.. I'll tok abt that some other time. Lets first tok about my trip.

Hongkong... I did just 2 things, shop and eat. But hey! though its only those, I had enuff fun already. Terriffic time! Cos I bought 4 bags, 2 heels, a pair of bertula, a wallet, 6 tops and 2 jackets. All of these in just 5 days. Quite an achievement ain't it. We practically shopped the whole of Hongkong and of cos we practically ate all over Hongkong. We had dim sum (Imgaine: 2 gals, 9 different kinds of dim sum), loads of desserts, handbeat beef patties noodle, roast chicken, duck meat rice... I'm drooling by jus thinking about it. And Kristen's appetite can really scare the hell out of me. SHE, can really eat. God! And of cos shop too! To think she just came back from the states. arh....! We are really like what she said. "Partners in crime" We hit Mongkok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Causewaybay, and even the peak.

I had afternoon snack and beer at Stanley Market, we took the mini public bus there. Stanely Market is kinda like our Holland V, many caucasians, lots of bars for u to relax. Its kinda cool. We took the tram up to the peak. The sight was ok.. But its a different side of Hongkong, the air is so much better than way back below. The air pollution is horrible, I'm sure people there don't live long. We had dinner in one of the restaurants up in the peak, its nice. I can jus stone there for a long time. We stoned in Peninsula Hotel at Kowloon too, had desserts and we jus stone at the cafe facing the Victoria Harbour. There was a 'live' performance by a solo singer there. Feels rather comfy jus slouching on the couch. Walked a little in Zhong Wan while on our way to the peak, its kinda like our Shenton Way, with tall buildings all in their unique style. Especially the China Bank building, rather impressive.

Hongkong has got many old looking buildings, actually, they look as though they're gonna collaspe anytime. Can't believe the living conditions of the people there. And theres humans everywhere. We find it even difficult to walk sometimes, cos its so damn bloody crowded. Its amazing actually that we could walk quite a distance from one destination to another. If u're into walking, then Hongkong is the place for you. Cos everything seemed so far, even from one train to the other. But oh well... I always find it fun to indulge into another kinda culture once in a while.

As long theres shopping and food along the way, walking ain't no prob at all.
